FOOL'S PARADISE
LUMIERE 2015
Commissioned as part of ‘The UK’s largest light festival’, Lumiere Durham, ‘Fool’s Paradise’ is a projection mapping onto the stunning UNESCO heritage site of Durham Castle.
Inspired by local folklore and fairytales Fool’s Paradise, uses stop-motion animation techniques, paper cutting and hand drawn images to create a fantasy location interweaving stories and characters.
The continuous narrative was viewed at various locations across the city, and accompanied by a specially composed soundtrack by Ed Carter.
Fool’s Paradise was featured in the Independent, the Guardian and the BBC
Lumiere Durham was attended by in excess of 200,000 people over the course of it’s 4 days.
