MAGNETIC MAN
CONCERT VISUALS
Magnetic Man is a pioneering electronic music project consisting of dubstep producers and DJs, Benga, Skream and Artwork. Their self titled debut album reached the UK top 5 in 2010 and they are undoubtedly one of the main reasons for the proliferation of dubstep around the globe.
NOVAK have been there delivering spectacular visual shows that have accompanied Magnetic Man from the very beginning of their career to the present day. From the small clubs throughout the UK to the epic international festival stages of Glastonbury, Roskilde, Fuji Rock, Coachella and many more.
Starting out with a simple projector and screen set up, NOVAK developed a touring visuals show entirely based around audio reactive visuals, ensuring even with minimal stage production, the show still delivered the high impact, fitting of the cutting edge sounds.
As Magnetic Man’s popularity grew in size, so did NOVAK’s visual show. The next incarnation of this evolving stage show was a giant LED cadge, sometimes referred to as a digital warship, that housed the three band members during their performance. NOVAK further developed their synchronised audio reactive visuals to work within this bespoke screen set up, while incorporating pre rendered animated visual content to work specifically within this unique stage show.
The last incarnation, to date, was a collaboration with lighting and show designers, Placing Shadows. And with that came an even larger and more elaborate show. Multiple LED walls adorned the worlds festival stages, where NOVAK’s audio reactive and highly synchronised visual took centre stage, provided a truly epic show that thrilled audiences in their thousands throughout the world!
