Illuminating Southampton’s Past and Future
To celebrate the launch of the first wave of restaurants in the £85 million dining and leisure extension at Westquay, Southampton, NOVAK was commissioned by events company The Fair to create a stunning projection mapping display. As the centerpiece of Luminate Southampton, the projection transformed the city’s medieval walls into a breathtaking visual spectacle. Titled Great Journeys Start and End in Southampton, the projection celebrated key historical moments that shaped the city while offering a glimpse into its future. This large-scale artwork combined intricate animation with rich storytelling, bringing Southampton’s legacy to life in a dynamic and immersive way.
